[ As silly as it was, Sheryl was feeling pretty cheery from that secret. She waited for Kamina by the front of her hotel, hoping that he'd actually wear appropriate clothing (i.e. a shirt) as she tapped her foot, humming to herself. This was a songwriting sort of mood. She was wearing her usual getup of aviators and a floppy hat; the sun had mostly set by now, but she liked being able to go around unrecognized. ]

Anyway, it's a lot of letters, so we can figure out words that use them! If you learn them all at once you'll just forget them. I mean, I don't remember learning to read, but that makes sense!

I'm Sheryl Nome, aren't I? Besides, it's never made any sense to me to teach people how to read with words like "ball" and "boy". No one cares if Jack chased the dog if they don't know a Jack or any dogs, so what sort of motivation is that to learn?

[kamina chuckles through a mouthful of burger and after he swallows, he remarks:] Ya got a point. I never met nobody named Jack, but I do know a dog. I'd only wanna hear somethin' about Daisy, not that Jack guy.

Is that the name of the dog? [ she's done with her burger, but one is enough, so she crumples up her wrapper ]

Yeah, Renji's dog! He's getting really big now. [kamina's pile of burgers has dwindled into one burger and two packages of fries in a small span of time. the guy can eat.]

Hmm... so if you have living rabbits and living dogs there, there's no reason I can't come to that party of Byakuya's!

Hm...that's kinda different. [goes through a packet of fries in about ten seconds while he's thinking] Daisy an' the rabbits were born in Soul Society so while they're livin', they belong there. [points at her with a fry] You're still alive. You don't look like you're dying no time soon either so it'd be hard for you to get in. [pops said fry into his mouth]

Not particularly, but I wouldn't be surprised if you turned out to have five stomachs!

[ shakes her head as she rewrites their names into her notebook, crumpling up the scattered wrappers ] If that's how much you eat with one, I'd be terrified of how much you could eat with five!

Typical. [ she stands and tips the tray now covered in wrappers into the bin with an amused sigh ] So I was meaning to ask, how much of Frontier do you remember from that virus?

Not a whole bunch, just a couple of places. How come? [standing next to her, sippin' on his shake.]

Because we're certainly not going to sit here for the rest of the night! You probably don't remember the view, do you?

No. [clearly, he's excited; he gets to see space again with its endless stars and freedom.] So let's stop hangin' around and get going!

[ and without warning, she sprints off out the door, laughing ]

[kamina busts outside in hot pursuit, ffffffffffffffffffuuuuu] I DIDN'T MEAN LIKE THIS!

Too late! [ she shouts over her shoulder, weaving through the crowd ]

[he isn't used to big crowds like this and keeps losing sight of her, but he can't let himself get overwhelmed. the great kamina-sama was afraid of nothing! sheryl's big floppy hat is the biggest giveaway to where she is so he does his best to follow through the busy streets of frontier.]

[ she stops by the moving walkway leading to the park, and even though she hasn't been exercising as regularly lately, instead of catching her breath she crosses her arms and leans against the railing, the picture of nonchalance as she waits for him to catch up ]
